With a nor’easter on the way and Hurricane Joaquin in it’s shadows for the east coast, it’s been a bleak week for weather, particularly for sunsets in the past week or so.  I saw a small break in the clouds and decided to drive out hoping for a nice sunset.  The clouds quickly rolled in and I didn’t get the opportunity to photograph the sunset I was hoping for tonight.

To my delight and surprise there was a doe pretty close by eating in the fields.  I know it isn’t like this everywhere, but here they are pretty timid and scared of people and usually disappear before I get the chance to photograph them.  I was pleasantly surprised to get some up close shots of her with my zoom lens.  It’s a rarity to get up close and personal with deer in the suburbs.  What a beauty!
